“ From the moment we walk through the first gate at Athena, city life disappears behind us. Entering into a forest corridor that stretches from the parking lot to the school campus, my daughter makes owl noises as she races forward. Through the next gate, we begin to see the classrooms, sweetly nestled together and surrounded by playgrounds. Then, there’s the Gym, where soon we will attend our first “Gates of Life ceremony” on the last day of summer camp. Although we have only been at “owl school” (my daughter’s words) for six weeks, we know it is the place to be. My husband and I are grateful to the hardworking, devoted teachers and staff, and we appreciate their many gifts and talents! And we give many thanks to Lisl, the tireless leader, whom we respect and trust. My two year old has grown tremendously from her first Montessori experience, and we are so excited that she will be continuing in Pre-Primary in the fall (and then in Primary after that…). If I have not conveyed our appreciation in full, then suffice to say, we are absolutely thrilled to have arrived at our new home away from home.”

I never cease to be amazed at what an incredible group of teachers you are. The depth of your knowledge, combined with your passion and excitement for the kiddos and for what you do, is inspiring. I am completely grateful that Besh gets to go to Athena. When I looked at preschools, I never contemplated that a school like this was even possible.
