Gratitude has many benefits for children and adults too! Model and engage in a daily gratitude practice with your family to improve and strengthen positive relationships.


A place where you all gather every day



  • You can explain that you would like to start a new practice with your family about being grateful. An easy definition for children is: Gratitude is about focusing on what’s good in our lives and being thankful for the things we have.


  • When everyones’ had a moment to think, say one thing you are grateful for. Each family member can say one thing they are grateful for, it could be anything – there is no wrong answer. Toddlers often repeat what others have already said, that’s okay! 




Create a special family keepsake and start a gratitude journal by documenting what each person says each day.
