Ice Shapes with Mr. Sean
The senses are the child’s window to the world; it is through them that they gather information about their environment. A child can feel objects, making recognition based on the feeling. A fun way to explore this with found objects at home is by creating “ice shapes”, such as shipping boxes, that are wrapped in foil and given a reflective quality like frozen water. Children may like wrapping the boxes themselves, and activities such as ice castle building, icy hot potato, counting and comparison games and more! Shapes, angles, and planes are explored through creativity, craft, collaboration, and fun!
