Dear Families,

I am so honored and, even more than that, overjoyed to be a part of your Athena community. I have always felt so connected to children and interested in Early Education and Montessori!

I was adopted from Beirut, Lebanon and I grew up in Austin. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I was so inspired by my kindergarten teacher, Shawn Romero, and her unconditional love for all of us. After I found out that one day I could become a teacher myself, I knew teaching was my PURPOSE in life.. so here I am. 🙂

I graduated from Southwestern University in 2018 with a degree in Feminist Studies and a minor in Art History (focused in Asian and indigenous art). I wanted a more universal major and I knew the universe would bring me back to teaching because that’s what I wanted in my heart. I have previously worked at The Greenwood School as a tots lead and The Goddard School teaching two and three year olds.

I am vegan and enjoy cooking, rock climbing, music, and gardening. I have two cats, Akira and Ziggy Stardust, and a bearded dragon, Frida, who keep my home life entertaining. I also have sooo many plants. It is my pleasure to get to know each and every one of you and to be a part of your child’s growth.
