Hello Athena Families!
My name is Brianna Cazares and I am so grateful to be part of your community. I have joined Athena as the Operations Assistant and am looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone. I grew up in Kansas City, with a Montessori teacher for a mom. My siblings and I all attended Montessori school when we were little, and the philosophy was a guiding influence in the way I was parented. So, when the opportunity arose to work with in a Montessori setting, it brought me right back home.
After graduating high school, I attended the University of Nebraska for Journalism for a couple of years and loved every minute. However, I realized that my part-time jobs in the restaurant business had ultimately become my passion. I decided to move to Philadelphia to earn my degree in Restaurant Management and spent the last 15 years building my career. After ten years in Philly I decided I was ready for a big change and moved on a whim to Napa, CA. That whim took a turn of fate and I ended up meeting my wonderful husband shortly after my arrival.
We moved to Los Angeles and our first daughter was born in January of 2018. We knew we needed to find a place where we could set down some long-term roots. Moving to Austin has been such a fun and exciting journey for my family and we are looking forward to years of fun ahead of us.
I am excited to transition my career to another dynamic and ever-changing atmosphere. As a restaurant manager I was a jack of all trades, ready to tackle any task that came my way. I plan to bring that same energy and spirit of hospitality to Athena so please feel free to introduce yourself when you see me around. I am delighted to embark on this new journey with you all!
