Denisse Alvarado (She/Her)

My name is Denisse Alvarado.

 

I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and raised in Austin. After graduating high school, I had a very difficult time trying to decide what I wanted to pursue. I’ve worked at many different places but none of them felt right. I struggled a lot with figuring out what to do until I applied to become a substitute teacher. Since then, I’ve known that working with children is what I want to do. No other job that I’ve had has given me the happiness that I feel when I’m helping, guiding, and taking care of children. 

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places, and watching lots of movies.

I’m incredibly excited to begin my third year here at Athena and can’t wait to meet you and your family.
