Hi, fellow Athena folk!

Early education has always been a passion of mine. I feel grateful to be able to connect with those in their developing years at such a wonderful place. There is a fulfilling feeling in being a part of the foundational years of a child’s development and seeing their view of the world through the eyes of curiosity, discovery and wonder. I believe it is the best way to live life to the fullest at any age, as well. Maria Montessori once said, "A child is mysterious and powerful and contains within themself the secret of human nature." 

It is with great excitement that I am back at Athena after ten years. From 2013-2014 I was a substitute teacher at Athena and truly enjoyed it. While away, I gained experience in managing some of Austin's best hair salons, spas, and hotels. Hospitality is important in the way I carry myself and I would like to pass that on to each student I interact with as a role model. Additionally, exploring and trying new things is something I enjoy doing whether it is a new hobby, food, or destination. The process of figuring out what one likes or not might be the real challenge but it is so worth it. I am thrilled to embark on whatever adventure/journey each school year has in store for all of us and to create memories with everyone at Athena!
