Casino Night Thank You

Dear Athena Community and Athena Supporters,

Wow! Casino Night 2025 was a HUGE success! What a great time! Thank you so much to those of you who joined us on the dance floor to the tunes of Royal Velvetee; purchased awesome items from the silent auction; tried your luck at the casino tables; chatted with friends at the bar; and enjoyed dinner by Lucy’s Fried Chicken! I hope that you had a good time and maybe even made new friends!

THANK YOU to our incredible Events Committee; to those of you who donated or secured items for our fabulous silent auction; to the members of our community who secured donations in-kind for the event; to those of you who bought tickets to the event for yourselves or our teachers; to everyone who sponsored a Casino Table or made a cash donation; to the volunteers who helped set up, break down, and run the ticket tables at the event; our amazing admin team for all their hard work; and our teacher volunteers who helped set up and break down, and shared their spaces. We would not have been able to have such a successful event without each and every one of you. We set a fundraising record for Athena! You helped us raise $41,756.75, after expenses, for school safety and security! This year’s proceeds will go directly to pay for our school’s safety and security measures, equipment, and training. You can read more about our fundraising initiative here. If you placed a winning bid, you will receive an email from Jessica this week with instructions for collecting your items! 

Mark your calendars for our final event of the year, Owl Fest! Bring your picnic baskets, blankets, camping chairs, lawn games, and family to our end-of-year celebration on the Athena lawn on the morning of Saturday, May 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
